A casual, flat hiking path that will take you along the rim of the canyon. There is minimal elevation gain, and offers many expansive viewpoints. A great option for kids or anyone who wants a more relaxing day at the canyon.

South Kaibab Trail

Intermediate - Advanced

The most popular hike below the rim takes you along an exposed ridge deep into the canyon with spectacular views at every turn. Expect up to 2,200 feet of descending elevation. This is the go-to trail for first time visitors at the canyon.

What Should I Bring?

You are responsible for your own:

Appropriate clothes and extra layers

Face Mask

Hiking shoes or boots

Waterproof rain jacket or poncho

Sunhat, sunglasses, sunscreen

Water bottles or bladder (atleast 3 liters)

$35/Vehicle National Park entrance fee

10-20% gratuity for your guide

What's Included?

Guide has 9+ years of experience with CPR, First Aid, and Wilderness First Responder certifications.

You will be provided with a hiking backpack, trekking poles, crampons (winter), and a first aid kit.

Every trip includes a delicous and healthy lunch, plus energizing trail snacks throughout the day.

We provide mostly organic and non gmo products.

A typical lunch consists of fresh sanwiches or wraps with fruit, veggies, chips, hummus, and a dessert.

We regularly accommodate vegetarian, vegan, or gluten free.

There will be an additional charge for any gluten free products.

Your Grand Canyon Hike group will meet your tour guide at the Grand Canyon South Rim Visitors Center inside the park.

Each Grand Canyon trail is roughly 3-6 miles round trip and 5-7 hours on each trail.
